Ikam Acosta, MA
Ikam Acosta is a Cuban American author, healer, and crisis consultant. She has dedicated her life to raising trauma awareness and holding the space for the healing of others. She has pursued studies in psychology, philosophy, and spirituality, and practices a variety of healing modalities. She has dedicated most of her life to exploring the consciousness and metapsychology. She hopes to continue being able to hold the space for others to heal and find their inner fire. She plans to spend the rest of her days as a trauma shaman and wordsmith making a difference in the world.
Joseph Louis III, BA
Joseph is a business major and Howard University Alum majoring in marketing. Based in Miami, Joseph Louis III blends the music industry insight with nonprofit leadership to drive meaningful social impact. As Vice President of STF and former Project Manager at Lil Durk’s Neighborhood Heroes Foundation, he has led major initiatives including a $250,000 Howard University scholarship sending two deserving students to Howard. While staying solution-oriented and committed to creating lasting opportunities for communities.
Jennifer King, LCSW
Jennifer has dedicated her career to learning about the impact of trauma on young children and relationship-based interventions. She received her Master's degree in Social Work at Tulane University and went on to complete a Fellowship in infant mental health at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans. She lived in South Florida for 10 years, where she served the community as a community-based therapist and mental health advocate. In addition to clinical work, Jennifer also has experience working in non-profit administration, grant writing and grant management. She is currently working as a perinatal and infant mental health therapist in the Denver metro area.
Nadine Greene, PhD LCSW MA CTP
Dr. Greene is a noteworthy leader in the non-profit field for over 25 years. She is the founder and CEO for Support Tomorrow’s Future, Inc., a non-profit agency that strengthens communities by empowering youth, healing intergenerational trauma, and equalizing educational opportunities since 2014. Her area of expertise lies in the intersection of trauma and mindfulness in therapeutic practice. Honored with the City of Miami Mayor’s award for her contributions to children and families in Overtown, Florida, she has continued to extensively explore the benefits of mindfulness in therapy, cultural competence, and recognizing the effects of racial trauma. Dr. Greene was also recognized as a Women of Distinction Honoree in Miami, Florida. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and playing chess. Most of all, she values the time spent with her husband and three children.
Martha Vallejo, LCSW
Martha Vallejo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Traumatologist with post-master’s studies in trauma-informed services to immigrants and refugees. She has provided trauma-informed counseling and education to immigrant families and all those from different life paths, prioritizing community partnerships.
Martha has developed a storytelling client-centered process of elaborating trauma-informed and resilience-base evaluations to support clients’ immigration legal cases and to help them reconnect to their values strengthening their humanity.
Martha is the Chair of the Florida National Association of Social Workers Immigration Justice Task Force and develops workshops on social justice and human rights.
From 2013 to 2016 she was an Adjunct Faculty at Barry’s Graduate School of Social Work. She has provided consultation internationally to organizations helping refugee children.
She was granted the 2013 Humanitarian Award by AI Justice and was awarded as the 2015 Miami-Dade Social Worker of the Year.
Nadia Anderson, DO MPH
Dr. Anderson has partnered with several organizations to design and implement health promotion programs both locally and internationally. Her area of expertise lies in the introduction of wellness practices and health education to underserved youth as a strategy to mitigating systemic health inequities. Through her work with the International Health Initiatives, she has helped improve access to healthcare within vulnerable communities within countries including Ghana, Nepal and Nigeria. Outside of medicine, Dr. Anderson diligently practices and teaches yoga (as a 300-hour registers yoga and meditation instructor), meditation, and overall mindfulness. She seeks to draw on these experiences in her role as Wellness Consultant for Support Tomorrow’s Future, Inc.
